S&P futures (Spuz) flat at 5,332 after staying in a very narrow trading range all night long, with high of 5,335.50 and low of 5,329 as investors awaited minutes of the Federal Reserve’s latest policy meeting to gauge the timing and extent of possible interest rate cuts this year. No major U.S. economic data for a second day, but another long list of Fed speakers on the calendar today. In earnings, shares of security tech company PANW falls -7% overnight on guidance, while home improvement retailer LOW reports a beat and affirms guidance, lifting shares over 4% this morning. All eyes remain on Wednesday when the face of \u201cAI\u201d reports earnings with chip giant NVDA. In Asian markets, The Nikkei Index dropped -122 points to 38,946, the Shanghai Index dropped -13 points to 3,157, and the Hang Seng Index declined -415 points to 19,220. In Europe, the German DAX is down -79 points to 18,689, while the FTSE 100 is down -34 points to 8,389. Gold prices -0.7% at $2,420 an ounce, pulling back after hitting record highs on Monday and oil prices slip, with WTI crude -1.34% at $78.75 per barrel (at overnight lows) as commodity prices pull back. Bitcoin no slow up after jumping on Monday, adding to gains +2.25% above $71.000. In Fed news, the WSJ\u2019s Timiraos said: Fed staff expect core PCE rose 2.75% in April from a year earlier. \u2018Fed staff expect core PCE rose 2.75% in April from a year earlier; Most analysts likewise have core PCE rising by 0.24% in April; That would put the 6-month annualized rate of core PCE inflation at 3.2%.<\/span><\/p>\n
